Jessica
Jessica is an enthusiastic and level-headed Naturopath who approaches treatment with a strong foundation in evidence-based methods. Her enthusiasm for functional medicine and her status as a self-proclaimed food nerd drive her commitment to helping people manage their health through an empowering and educational journey towards optimal health and well-being.
With her degree in Naturopathy, Jessica possesses a comprehensive understanding of herbal complementary medicine. However, her expertise extends beyond this as she taps into her profound knowledge of nutrition, diet, and lifestyle adjustments. Jessica firmly believes that food transcends its role as mere calories and macronutrients; it serves as a powerful source of information that intricately governs our body's functionality, gene expression, mood regulation, sleep patterns, pain tolerance, and overall quality of life.
Having accumulated 7 years of experience within the medical realm, Jessica has occupied diverse roles across mainstream medical domains. This exposure has acquainted her with both complementary and allopathic treatments, fostering a comprehensive and integrative approach to women's health. Jessica's ultimate goal is to foster an environment where patients can approach their well-being with happiness and excitement, as they gain knowledge and empowerment in their journey towards optimal health.
Having been diagnosed with coeliac disease for over 15 years, Jessica faced the challenge of persistent fatigue, low moods, and intense period pain even after eliminating gluten from her diet. Despite her efforts, the local GP clinic offered no solutions, repeatedly assuring her that her test results indicated everything was "fine" and her experiences were considered "normal." Frustrated by this lack of progress, Jessica recognised the necessity for a fresh perspective and a different approach to her well-being.
Outside of her work as a Clinical Naturopath and Nutritionist, Jessica enjoys yoga, hiking, Sunday food markets, time with friends, pasta, and getting side-eye from her cat Sasha Velour.
