What sexual health concerns can a sexologist assist with?

A sexologist can help address various sexual health issues, including sexual dysfunction, relationship dynamics, and challenges related to libido and arousal. They also provide support for painful sex (dyspareunia), vaginismus, and body image, ensuring a comprehensive approach to enhancing your sexual wellbeing.

How do I know if I should book a session with a sexologist?

If you’re experiencing difficulties with intimacy, arousal, pain during sex or emotional barriers in your sexual relationships, it may be helpful to see a sexologist. They offer tailored support for navigating these challenges and can help you foster a healthier connection to your sexuality.

What can I expect from my sexology session?

In your general sexology session, you’ll enter a safe and supportive environment where you can openly discuss your sexual health concerns. The sexologist will take time to understand your unique experiences and provide personalised recommendations to enhance intimacy, communication, and overall sexual satisfaction.

Your session may include discussions on sexual health education, intimacy enhancement, communication techniques with partners, and referrals for additional resources or specialists. Our aim is to empower you to embrace your sexual health and foster fulfilling relationships, enhancing your overall quality of life.

Are sessions with a sexologist confidential?

Yes. All appointments are conducted in a confidential manner, allowing you to explore sensitive topics related to sexual health with privacy and trust. The goal is to create a comfortable space for you to express your concerns without judgement.

Can I bring my partner/s to the online session?

Yes, your partner/s can join your online session. Involving a partner (or partners) in therapy sessions can be beneficial, especially for individuals looking to address relationship dynamics or improve communication around sexual health.

A joint 90 minute session allows partners additional time to openly discuss their concerns, feelings, and goals in a supportive environment. This collaborative approach can foster a deeper understanding of each other’s perspectives and enhance intimacy, ultimately leading to more effective solutions and a healthier relationship.

Please note that if your partner attends, there may be an additional fee to account for the time and resources dedicated to both individuals. Pricing adjustments will be made accordingly.
